Paragliding Equipment Checklist for Pilots in India

A basic paragliding equipment checklist starts with the wing, harness, reserve setup, helmet, connection hardware, and inspection support. Use this guide to prepare your buying questions before contacting ParaStitch for gear availability in India.

Quick checklist

  • Paraglider wing matched to pilot level and all-up weight
  • Pilot harness sized for body fit and flying style
  • Passenger harness and tandem wing for commercial tandem setups
  • Reserve connection points checked before flying
  • Main carabiners or maillons compatible with your harness system
  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair plan for used or frequently flown gear

Choose the main gear first

Start with the wing and harness because they define the rest of the setup. Beginner pilots should ask about forgiving handling and progression. Tandem pilots should ask about passenger range, operating site, and repeated-flight durability.

Match the harness to the use case

Harness choice depends on pilot role, comfort, protection needs, and whether the setup is for solo, hike-and-fly, or tandem operations.

Do not skip connection hardware

Carabiners and maillons are small compared with wings and harnesses, but they are part of the load path. Ask whether your existing hardware is the correct size and whether it should be replaced during inspection.

Before you buy

Share your pilot level, flying site, all-up weight range, and intended use when asking for gear guidance. For used gear or high-use tandem equipment, include inspection and maintenance questions before making a buying decision.
